I have been debating for years weather or not to put these baby snaps into the world wide web or not. 2020 has been a funny old year, but it has given me the time to de clutter and sort out the past. From 2021 onwards I only want to be concerned with making new music, and not revisiting the past. I have done a lot of past spotting and while sometime its satisfying it never creates something new. This then is the last link to the past, and on a personnel note my past. The 5 songs here are exactly as they are. This was not only the first release from All Living Fear it was also the first release that I had ever been involved in. At the time the first line up of All Living Fear has ended and I wanted to get a new band together and I was more determined than ever that it would succeed. I had a couple ideas in the can and Waiting the title track ha been performed live with that early band a few times.
Most of these songs were recorded in my parents house, though some of it was also recorded at a then friends flat in Exeter. Another friend Jamie that I worked with in a music shop had a label and could set me up with a catalogue number and we were in business.
The original cassette has a very DIY photocopied inlay but it wasn’t long after release that I started working with Michael Webb whom is still very much part of the band now. He not only designed the familiar All Living Fear logo but also designed the colour cassette inlay for the later release and the artwork that this digital release is built on.
These are the baby photos of the bands work and as such should not be treated any more than that. A historical document from almost 3 decades ago.
